Saido Berahino says he feels “sharper, hungrier and happier” after scoring his first goal for Stoke City in a friendly against Monaco.
“I’m hungrier than ever really,” he told the Stoke Sentinel. “I’ve missed this so much and now I’m up and running, I’m sharper and I’m feeling happy.”

Man United have announced that goalkeeper Sergio Romero has signed a new contract which will keep him at the club until June 2021, with the option to extend for a further year.
The 30-year-old joined the club in July 2015 and has gone onto make 28 appearances for the club.
An excited Sergio Romero spoke of his delight at signing a new deal with the club, and says the club is the biggest in the world.
“I am delighted to have signed a new contract. Who wouldn’t want to be at the biggest club in the world?” he told the club’s official website.
“We have great goalkeepers here and we are always learning from each other. Of course, it was a very proud moment for me and my family to be part of the Europa League final, and I am looking forward to helping the team build on last season’s success in 2017/18.”
Chelsea want to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 28, after missing out on Romelu Lukaku, it is understood. Antonio Conte is said to like Aubameyang and the 28-year-old is on his shortlist with Alvaro Morata (Real Madrid), Andrea Belotti (Torino) and a Premier League striker. Dortmund will let Aubameyang go this summer for about £70m and he has told the club he wants to leave. AC Milan and PSG have been in talks to sign him while a move to Tianjin Quanjian collapsed last week. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund have fired striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a warning over his uncertain future stating that they will only wait “a few more days” on any offers for Gabon forward.
Speaking to German newspaper, Hans-Joachim Watzke said:
“We have told Auba: ‘If you want to move somewhere, and you have a club willing to meet our demands, then come to us and we’ll talk.
“But this will only apply within a certain time window, which is slowly closing. We would clearly need to get a replacement for him, which is difficult to impossible in any event.
“We will wait for a couple more days, but not for much longer. There are no offers on the table for him so far.”
Mamadou Sakho and Lazar Markovic have not been selected in Liverpool’s 25-man squad for the tour to Hong Kong. Both players went out on loan last season and have been linked with permanent moves away from Anfield during the summer transfer window.

Midfielder Lucas Piazon has said it is good to be back at Fulham after he rejoined the club on loan from Chelsea for a second consecutive season.
“It feels nice to put the shirt on again,” he told the club’s official website.
“It was my first day back at the club today and it was nice to see everyone back and to be with them again was nice.
“It was a good feeling and to be back with them on the pitch again was nice, it was good… Last season we had a good season at Fulham, I had a good season as well and I felt pretty comfortable at the club.
“I believe the club can achieve good things this season, so of course I wanted to stay.”
Man United boss Jose Mourinho says he plans to try out a new-look strikeforce by pairing Romelu Lukaku with Marcus Rashford. Mourinho got a first look at £75m Lukaku in United colours as his side kicked off pre-season with a 5-2 win over LA Galaxy at the StubHub Center over the weekend.
“Today [Rashford] was in a different team than Lukaku. But in this pre-season we will also try both in the same team which I think can also work,” Mourinho told reporters.
